We met up with some of our bestest friends from Richmond, the Shafers, in the Redwood National Forest. It was 6 hours away from each of us, so the perfect place to meet up. I cannot tell you how awesome if was to be with them again. We had a blast. And the Redwoods...they were amazing. It was absolutely stunning. We kept saying how we felt like we were on a movie set or something. It just didn't look real. Come to find out Star Wars return of the Jedi (all the Ewok stuff) AND the 2nd Jurassic Park were filmed there.
We basically just had all day Saturday with the Shafers, so we had to live it up. Charlie and Addy were so happy to be together again and played as if they had never been apart (yes, we have been planning their wedding for a while. They already have some amazing photos together for their slideshow). It was an incredible trip, until we learned that the Shafers had their car broken into. Their diaper bag, wallet, laptop, and DVD player were stolen. That put a huge damper on things. Here's to hoping they get their stuff back and that they will still want to hang out with us again.

I am so glad you guys got to meet up..even if it was a quick trip. You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful meeting place either! Love all the pictures. Makes me miss you guys. Can you just photoshop our family in one of the pictures? ha. :)
